Cruise Shore Excursions (Season 2013/14)

We are ready for the next season, yesterday (may 15th 2013) the local port autorithy announced all the details for the next season, will be 42 cruise ships arriving to Puerto Madryn - Patagonia - Argentina. We already have the schedule and we are taking reservations for tours to Peninsula Valdes and Punta Tombo.
At Sentir Patagonia Travel we continue working to offer the best service for all passengers arriving to our city by cruise ships.
Kind regards

  1. We docked in Puerto Madryn around 10am on April 3 and met Diego from Sentir Patagonia right at the end of the gangway. He took us to meet our driver/guide for the day, Fernando, who was very knowledgeable & wanting to share information about his country. We then headed toward Punta Tombo in search of the small Magellan penguin found only in the Southern Hemisphere. The drive took about 2 hours one way over fairly flat, scrub land. Others have said the drive was boring but with Fernando’s description of the land , the time flew. When we arrived around noon, we were thrilled to see 2 pair of penguins right in the parking lot. Little did we know that there were many more to come … according to the park warden, 100,000 in all (down from a million in Jan.). Penguins were everywhere – as far as the eye could see. We were the only people there for about an hour until the cruise ship buses arrived spilling out their passengers. This is the moulting season for penguins so they are quite lethargic & are everywhere, even on the walkways. Most of the chicks have gone north & their parents will too once they have finished moulting. Two weeks later & most of the penguins would be gone. We were like kids in a candy store having such fun. Just a reminder if you use Sentir that you need to pay cash at the beginning of the trip. What a fantastic day.
